Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the Glowance mobile app and related services (together, the “Service”), operated by Glowance (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Glowance is (and isn’t)

Glowance analyzes photos of your skin and hair using AI and builds a personalized daily routine of cosmetic and lifestyle habits.

Glowance is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Scan scores, routines, and any other content in the Service are for cosmetic, informational, and motivational purposes only. They are not a diagnosis, treatment, or substitute for professional care. If you have a skin or scalp condition, or any concern about your health, consult a dermatologist or other qualified professional. Never disregard professional advice because of something in the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.

3. Your account

You are responsible for your device and for keeping access to your account secure. Tell us promptly at ammariqbal043@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. AI-generated content

Your scan results and routines are generated by AI models based on the photos and answers you provide. AI output can be imperfect: scores are estimates, not measurements, and may vary with lighting, camera quality, and other factors. We do not guarantee any particular result, cosmetic or otherwise, from following a routine.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

Parts of the Service may require a paid subscription. Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and billing, renewal, and cancellation are handled by those platforms under their terms. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your platform account settings. Refunds are governed by the platform’s refund policies.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• submit photos of anyone other than yourself without their consent,
• use the Service in any unlawful way or in a way that could harm others,
• attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service, or
• resell or redistribute the Service or its content.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and information you submit. You grant us a limited license to process them solely to provide the Service — for example, sending a scan photo to our AI provider to generate your results. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Our content

The Service — including its design, branding, software, and content other than yours — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app for your own personal purposes.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your expectations.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms or if we discontinue the Service; where practical, we will give you reasonable notice.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you additional rights.
