How do face scans work?

Take a scan from the Scan tab in good, even lighting with your face centered. Glowance analyzes the photo with AI and turns it into six glow signals — clarity, texture, hydration, tone, freshness, and hair — plus a routine tuned to what your skin and hair need right now. A scan takes about thirty seconds.

My scores look off or jump around

Scores are AI estimates, not lab measurements, and they are sensitive to conditions. For consistent tracking, scan in the same spot at the same time of day, facing a window or soft light rather than under harsh overhead bulbs, with a clean face — no makeup — and the camera at eye level. Week-over-week trends matter far more than any single number.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Billing is handled by your app store, not by us, so subscriptions are managed in your store account:

  • iPhone — Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Glowance → Cancel.
  • Android — Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Glowance → Cancel.

Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Refunds are also handled by Apple and Google under their policies — request one from your purchase history in the store.

I resubscribed or switched phones — where’s my plan?

Open the paywall screen and tap Restore subscription. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple or Google account you originally purchased with.

How do I delete my data?

Open the app, go to the Profile tab, and tap Delete my data to permanently remove your scans, photos, glow plan, and profile from our servers and your device right away. If you can’t open the app, see Delete your data or email us and we will complete the deletion within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Is Glowance medical advice?

No. Glowance is a cosmetic well-being companion — scores and routines are informational and motivational, not a diagnosis or treatment. If you have a skin or scalp condition, or any health concern, please see a dermatologist or other qualified professional.
